About Us

We’re Ana and David — parents to two energetic little boys, living and loving life here in Edmonton, AB. Like many families, we cherish the joyful chaos of raising young kids and all the beautiful milestones that come with it. But we also understand how challenging it can be to find family-friendly spaces that truly cater to both parents and children.
Weekend outings often meant choosing between great coffee for us or play spaces for the kids — rarely both. We dreamed of a space where parents could relax with quality coffee and treats while their little ones played nearby, safely and happily. After hearing the same wish from countless other parents, we knew we weren’t alone — and Utopia Cafe & Play was born.
Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming, comfortable place where families can connect, kids can explore, and grown-ups can actually enjoy the moment, too.
